Lee's Racing Timeline

1998
It all started in 1998 for Lee. He started his racing career at the age of 12 on a Cagiva Prima 80cc in the Junior Road Racing Association.
Competing in only half a season to get use to the bike and iron out any issues, Lee managed to get a best result of 3rd and 7th overall in the Championship.

1999
After a shake down year in 1998, Lee was ready for a full attack for the 1999 season. Taking his first victory at Aintree Race Circuit and finished 2nd overall in the championship behind Howie Mainwaring.

2000
Again, Lee decided to race in the Junior class on his Cagiva 80cc. With much success in his second full season racing, Lee had numerous victories, podium places and fastest laps. At the age of 15 Lee was crowned the North Western Junior Champion. The same championship James Toesland won a couple of seasons prior.

2001
Moving up to a Honda RS125 for the 2001 season, competing in as many races across all disciplines of club racing, Lee had a numerous victories and podiums including fastest laps.

2002
After much success in 2001, Lee felt the time was right to move up to the British 125cc Championship. The level of riders was something Lee had never been up against before, with a number of riders being ex-British Champions and World Championship riders. It was no easy task for Lee, but after a very steady year saw him with a best result of 11th.

2003
This season was Lee's second in the British 125cc Championship, it would prove to be one of his best years in his career. He was a regular front runner, beating the UK's best riders to win his maiden British 125 race at Knockhill and beating all the top teams such as RedBull and Padgetts Honda. Lee finishing the season in a very respectable 5th place. This success rewarded Lee to compete in the famous British Grand Prix as a Wild-card rider in the 125 class with some of the best riders in the world such as Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, Dani Pedrosa, Andrea Dovizioso, Marco Simoncelli, Alvaro Bautista to name just a few.

2004
After great success in 2003, it was time for Lee to progress to the British Supersport Championship on a Honda CBR600RR. With the bike being a big jump from a 125cc machine, his first season on a supersport bike would be a steep learning curve. Lee talent showed that he was a top ten finisher with his best result of 7th at the MCN European Supersport support race for the MotoGP at Donington  Park.

2005
This season was a year with many struggles with the bike causing a lack for track time in many qualifying and races. However, with Lee's drive to succeed he had a couple of outstanding performances with his best result being 3rd at Oulton Park, beating many of the top world riders today such as Leon Camier, Tom Sykes, Cal Crutchlow, Eugene Laverty to name a few.

2006
In 2006 saw the end of Lee's British Superbike Championship racing career after only a couple of rounds due to injury.

2013
Lee decided to come back racing in 2013 for one season on a old Ducati 748 Biposto. He competed in the Thundersport GB GESS Class and became the first to win that Championship, beating some stiff competition on bikes with 20+BHP more. Whilst racing his own machine, MV Agusta British Superstock 1000 Team (Lee at the time worked for MV Agusta UK) asked Lee to test the F4 1000RR at Oulton Park. Current MV Superstock rider Tristan Palmer and MV Agusta's World Supersport rider Christian Iddon was also testing the bike. Lee rode the bike after, lapping some two seconds a lap faster. This put Lee in the seat to ride at the next round of the British Superbike Championship. But due to funds Lee hand to relinquish this offer.

2016
This was the last time Lee rode a bike around a race circuit after doing three sessions at a Ducati UK track day on a Ducati Panigale 959.
